Thanks to those of you that wrote a letter of support to reconfigure the Long Beach Breakwater.

We collected over 675 letters in one week and I already sent them to the Army Corps of Engineers. What a great way for our City to show its support for clean water and world-class beaches!

Now we await the decision of the Army Corps of Engineers, which should announce in the next few weeks an official decision on federal interest to move forward. Thank you for playing an important role in this effort - your voice is important.

I will keep you informed as this important issue moves forward.
